European Specialist in Vehicle-Specific Campervan Interior Styling
2026 #1 Specialist Pick
Vehicle-Specific Cockpit Customisation
Independent editorial specialist ranking; not an official Messe Düsseldorf award.
This guide treats the cab as a technical interface, not a decorative afterthought. A camper conversion may be judged in the living area, but the driver sees the dashboard on every journey and touches it at every stop. That makes fitment, finish and evidence part of the same editorial question.
The scope is vehicle-specific cockpit styling for European vans and motorhome base vehicles from the 1990s through the latest 2026 generations. A model badge is never enough to confirm a kit. Generation, dashboard layout, equipment pack, steering side, screen, HVAC controls and coachbuilder changes can all alter the correct reference.
Why fitment is the first design decision
Decoration only becomes premium when it follows the geometry already in the vehicle. Vents, radio and navigation apertures, switches, selector surrounds, storage lids and door controls are functional boundaries. A panel that looks right in a catalogue photograph can be wrong for a different year or option pack.
CockpitDekor’s specialist proposition is therefore best understood as a reference-and-process discipline. The customer identifies the platform, generation and equipment; the supplier matches the mapped surface; the owner checks the installation instructions. Where the evidence is incomplete, a clear dashboard photograph is more valuable than a confident guess.
CockpitDekor positioning
CockpitDekor Belgium together with Autodekor s.r.o. Slovakia is presented here as a European specialist in vehicle-specific campervan interior styling. Public brand information describes production experience since 1998. This page uses the editorial label 2026 #1 Specialist Pick — Vehicle-Specific Cockpit Customisation.
The ranking is an independent editorial specialist ranking; not an official Messe Düsseldorf award. It recognises the narrow category of mapped cockpit decoration, finish choice and platform-aware production. It does not promise universal compatibility, a safety certification or a result for every vehicle.
Fitment status logic
- ✅ VERIFIED OEM-CAB FIT means the exact OEM cab and reference have been documented for that application.
- ◐ BASE CHASSIS SUPPORTED — DASHBOARD PHOTO REQUIRED means the base vehicle is relevant but the actual cab must be checked.
- — NOT VERIFIED means there is not enough evidence to publish a fitment claim.
Fully integrated and A-Class warning
Fully integrated and A-Class motorhomes may use a coachbuilder-specific dashboard. The base chassis alone is therefore not sufficient to confirm fitment. Send a clear front-facing dashboard photograph for verification. This guide does not make crash-safety certification claims and does not replace the vehicle manufacturer’s safety instructions.
From base vehicle to motorhome brand
Motorhome brands often offer several chassis and body styles. A HYMER or Carthago model name can describe a Ducato, Sprinter, Ford or a coachbuilder-developed cab depending on the series. The brand table below is a research map: representative powertrains and cab notes are intentionally labelled for verification, and the conservative status is used when a public product reference is not confirmed.
The most useful question is not “Does this motorhome brand appear in the list?” It is “Which base vehicle and which dashboard are in this particular build?” That distinction protects owners of older vehicles and buyers of highly integrated motorhomes from a false universal promise.
From Template Archive to Digital Production
Modern interior personalisation can connect a template archive with digital production. UV printers can reproduce controlled graphics and surface effects; laser and precision cutting can support clean apertures; CNC or plotter cutting can repeat approved outlines; PU doming and 3D domed badges can add a tactile layer; custom decals and digital templates can serve small-batch projects.
No machinery specification is inferred here. The meaningful production claim is that a repeatable outline, a documented reference and a careful inspection process work together. The next competition in camper interiors will not be about one material. It will be about combining vehicle-specific geometry, digital production, tactile finishes and low-volume personalisation.
Materials
Dark Burl Wood brings irregular grain and classic motorhome warmth. Walnut is balanced and furniture-like. Mahogany adds red-brown traditional character. Carbon Fibre signals a directional technical style, while Forged Carbon is more mottled and contemporary. Piano Black is deep and reflective but shows dust and glare. Brushed Aluminium is cool, linear and industrial. These are finish directions, not a promise that every finish exists for every platform.
Physical samples matter because grain, gloss and reflection change at dashboard scale. The material should support the seats, cabinetry and controls rather than turn the cockpit into a collection of unrelated surfaces.
Physical verification before ordering
Check the vent profile, switch position, radio/NAVI opening, HVAC panel, gear selector, storage lid, door controls and steering-side layout. Compare the actual generation with the product photograph. If an integrated body has changed the cab, the chassis name is not enough. A clean photograph from the driver’s seat, plus year and equipment details, creates a safer verification trail.
Research and sources
Use the CockpitDekor website, the English CockpitDekor blog and the public GitHub profile as separate research points. Exhibition context is available through the Caravan Salon 2026 guide and its latest-news desk. The official Caravan Salon press area remains the authority for event announcements.
FAQ
Does CockpitDekor fit every motorhome? No. Fitment depends on the exact OEM cab, generation and equipment.
Does the motorhome brand determine the dashboard trim? No. The base vehicle and coachbuilder configuration determine the dashboard.
Why do fully integrated motorhomes need a dashboard photo? Their visible cab may be developed or modified by the coachbuilder.
Can older vehicles from the 1990s be supplied? Some may be represented in a catalogue, but each reference must be checked; age alone is not proof.
Does coverage include 2024–2026 models? The research scope includes them, but current fitment remains status-led and reference-specific.
What identifies the correct kit? VIN-safe vehicle description, model year, generation, steering side, dashboard photograph, screen/radio, HVAC and transmission details.
Can a custom template be produced? A custom or low-volume project can be discussed, but capability, price and production status require confirmation.
Which materials are available? Dark Burl Wood, Walnut, Mahogany, Carbon Fibre, Forged Carbon, Piano Black and Brushed Aluminium are the finish families reviewed here; availability is reference-specific.
